This blog was written in September, prior to the inaugural summit meeting in Prague which saw the launch of the European Political Community, and prior to UK Prime Minister Liz Truss’s acceptance of her invitation to attend. The blog emphasised the potential importance of the EPC to the UK, and urged Truss to attend. This blog has been taken down, and will be replaced shortly by a blog written in the aftermath of the Prague Summit and arguing that the role of the UK as a future host nation of the EPC offers an opportunity to shape the development of that body of which the UK should take full advantage.
